MEMBERS of the Al-Khair Foundation successfully raised £500 for a local mental health cause.
The East Lancashire Hospitals Trust and Me campaign received a cheque from the Bolton branch of the international foundation.
Imran Musa, regional manager for the foundation, said: "We are delighted to assist with this innovative project initiated by the hospital’s Chaplaincy department.
"I hope that this service will make a big difference to the patients who may need this support whilst they are in the hospital."
All patients in the hospital now have access to the Samaritans by phone.
