Beer Festival

Real ale lovers will be toasting a beer festival at The Barlow, Edgworth this weekend.
The festival will feature craft ales all from local breweries no more than a few miles from Edgworth.
The headline sponsor will be the Wayoh Brewing Company and others offering a taste of their wares will be Northern Monkey Brew Company, Bank Top, Irwell Works, Northern Whisper, Edgworth Brew Company.

Entry to the festival is £5 on Friday and Saturday, and £2 on Sunday. The festival is open from 6pm Friday

Charity Walk

Bolton Hospice's 10 Miles, 10 Pubs walk will return this year on Saturday 29th September for it's fifth year.
The walk takes you around the beautiful and scenic areas of Rivington, Angelzarke and Adlington.

Concert

Electro 80's, the UK's Premier 1980's Electronica Tribute Band will be playing at Henighans on Bury Road, Breightmet this Saturday.
The gig will feature the band playing  the Music of Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, OMD, The Human League, Kraftwerk, Yazoo, Devo, John Foxx, Soft Cell and Many More.

Ploughing

The rescheduled annual Ploughing competition takes place at Brinsop Hall Farm, Brinsop Hall Lane, Westhoughton this Sunday.
Experienced ploughers and amateurs are welcome to enter at a cost of £10, with all proceeds from the day will going to Bolton Mountain Rescue. Each competitor will have a marked plot in which they will have to plough that piece of land as neat at they can to showcase their skills.

Gin Tasting

Head on over to Bradshaw Cricket Club for an evening of ‘ginebriation’. The evening will cover everything gin including the History/Distillation Methods and Botanicals, Garnishes and Mixers.
To help you to discover what makes this unique tipple so special there will be five  different artisan gins from around the world for you to taste.
