WITH a "Ho, ho, ho!" and jingling bells the Hike the Pike event is back.
Hundreds of Santas and elves are expected to walk up Rivington Pike this year to help raise money for Bolton Hospice.
The Hike the Pike event takes place in November, adult participants get Santa Claus outfits and children receive elf costumes.
The event is sponsored by Lancasters Independent Estate Agents, director Katy Washington said: “We are delighted to once again be supporting this wonderful, family friendly event. We cannot wait to see all the red and green suits marching up the Pike!”
En route hikers can place a message to remember someone and children will find a post box to post a letter to Santa.
There will be festive stalls, gifts and a raffle. Curley’s will be providing festive refreshments. £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for children. Register online at boltonhospice.org.uk.
