WORKERS at Amazon are set to get a pay rise after bosses announced new pay rates for up to 1,200 staff.
The firm, which has a fulfilment centre at Logistics North, is planning to pay its staff £9.50 an hour, which applies to all employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary, those employed through agencies and seasonal, from November 1.
Nationally, more than 37,000 employees, will benefit from the new, higher pay rates.
Amazon was named one of the top UK companies for both attracting and retaining talent, according to LinkedIn’s 2018 Top Attractors list.
