BLACKBURN charity Nightsafe features in a powerful new BBC short film promoting Children in Need.
The 30-second clip, which was first shown prime time Monday night on BBC One at 8.30pm, demonstrates the how Nightsafe helps young vulnerable people in the town and talks about how its work would not be possible without Children in Need.
The film features Wayne Bowman from Nightsafe who talks about the work the organisation does.
He says: "Nightsafe is open right through the night to help young people in crisis.
"They could have come to us because it's just not safe for them to be at home any more."
He adds: "Somebody here will greet them with a smile and ask them how they are. Someone might not have asked them that for months.
"When a person moves into supported living we teach them a range of valuable life skills.
"Without the funding from Children in Need we wouldn't be able to support young people to get their lives back on track."
