FOLLOWING a restructuring, health and wellbeing provider, Westfield Health, has promoted Paul Shires to be managing director of Bolton-based UK Healthcare – with an objective to drive business growth.

Paul said: “I’m looking forward to joining the team and developing a strategy to support business growth in the North West.

"This is a really exciting time for Westfield Health and UK Healthcare.”

The move follows the promotion of David Capper to CEO of Westfield Health, who introduced an executive layer to the leadership team.

This included a new role, director of Business transformation, which has been taken by Stephen Pugh, who has over 30 years of financial services experience and was the CEO of UK Healthcare for almost 10 years.

Mr Capper said: “The restructure and growth of the leadership team provides the foundations for us to transform our business, and allows us to continue our drive to become a market leader in health and wellbeing, with a streamlined approach.

“At Westfield Health, we make a healthy difference to the quality of life of our customers and the wider communities in which they live and work. The introduction of these hires, which are largely home-grown talent, is in-line with this ethos, and I believe we now have a leadership team that is as strong as it can be. We have an extensive knowledge, skillset and passion, which I believe will inspire everyone.”
