A HORWICH-based business has thanked firefighters for their heroic efforts in tackling Winter Hill moorland blaze.
The Monthly Tee Club — a unique T-shirt subscription box service which offers customised t-shirts to its subscribers based on their interests — donated £1,891.50 to The Firefighters Charity.
The company set up by three friends prides itself in sharing profits with those who need it.
Each month, for every full paying subscriber, a donation is made through the company's #Tee4aTeeProject.
The company said it wanted to thank the "incredible men and women who worked so bravely and selflessly to keep us all safe".
The cheque was presented at Horwich Fire Station and heard first hand about the challenging conditions in tackling the fire and found out about the work of The Fire Fighters Charity.
It has previously supported homeless people and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital as well as other charities.
