A FORMER pub could become a takeaway if new plans are to the taste of planning chiefs.
The Anchor Inn, in The Haulgh, has been used as offices since 2007, but new proposals have been submitted seeking permission to change its use to a fast food outlet.
An application from Krishan Mistry in respect of the 85square metre Eagle Street site states: “We wish to change the use of the premises from offices to a takeaway. Works include installation of a professional kitchen and furnishings. No structural works required.”
Highways chiefs say there appears to be adequate off-road parking at the site to support the proposed change of use.
