FIRE crews tackled a fire at a derelict building in Turton last night.
They were called to the blaze at a building close a farm house, in Broadhead Road, shortly before 1am.
Firefighters put out the fire, the cause of which is yet to be established.
No one was injured.
A Lancashire Fire Service spokesman said: "Two fire engines and crews from Blackburn and one engine and crew from Bolton were assigned to a fire in a derelict building.
"Due to the distance of the fire from a water source a ‘water relay’ was set up to pump water from a fire engine nearest the source to another, then to the engine nearest the fire.
"There were no casualties or injuries to livestock."
