THE audience will find themselves playing a part in the SS Simon and Jude Amateur Dramatic Society's next production.

The society is holding a murder mystery evening on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26.

A short play during which a murder takes place will be performed before the audience will have the opportunity to work out who dunnit by turing detective and asking questions of the suspects.

There will be prizes up for the answers and the the most ingenious deductions.

The play is about businessman John Davenport, who has fallen in love with Juliet, the adopted daughter of his junior partner.

Although she is over fifty years his junior, the feeling seems to have been mutual and a whirlwind romance ensues. At their wedding reception, in the banqueting hall of the Great Bantworthy Golf club the caterers are running late, as are John and Juliet — something has obviously happened between them, but neither is saying what.

Tensions mount further as insults fly during the wedding speeches. Shortly afterwards, a shot rings out...Who done it?

Tickets priced £8 are available online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/sssjads or by phoning 01204 520232.

The drama unfolds at SS Simon and Jude School in Great Lever.
