Increase in vehicle crime leads to police warning
AN INCREASE in crime involving vehicles has been reported.
Police in Heaton say a number of people have reported having their licence plates stolen, among other criminal activity.
Officers sent out a warning on Tuesday, asking people to "remain vigilant" and keep keys away from front doors or porches.
Any sightings of suspicious vehicles which may have false plates attached can be reported by ringing 101 or via Live Chat on the police website: www.gmp.police.uk.
