A LOT of our younger readers will probably not be aware of the exact location of Hotel Street in Bolton town centre.
Our picture this week shows a familiar image to everybody, but back in March 1968, when the first photograph was taken cars made their way along the street and the Crompton Place shopping centre was still being built.
In those days the building was a Trustee Saving Bank (TSB), which is now owned by Spanish banking giant Banco Sabadell
The second photo taken by Google Maps shows a pedestrianised Hotel Street that leads up to the shopping centre, but the building is still a bank but now owned by Lloyds
