BOLTON Central Library and Museum are staging special "quiet" sessions for visitors who prefer a more gentle atmosphere.
Relaxed Saturday runs on the third Saturday of each month from 9am to 10am.
The hour is designed for visitors who prefer a quieter visit, for those with autism, learning disabilities or sensory and communication need, along with their families.
They will be able to touch, feel and smell some of the fascinating objects.
During the event, lights will be put on full all sound effects will be turned off to make it a less overwhelming environment.
The library and museum will be open to all visitors but there will be no dark areas and no sudden sounds.
There is seating provided around the museum, and a quiet space will be available to those who may need it.
At 10 am there will be a relaxed cinema film screening.
Admission is free.
