A CHARITY walk raised £10,000.
Bolton School boys enjoyed a walk through local beauty spots, including Moss Bank Park after the moorland fire meant they could not undertake their tradition hike to Rivington Pike.
The money has been divided equally between organisations Nightsafe Ltd, Back Up, Bolton Hospice, PAPYRUS, Muscular Dystrophy UK, Boot Out Breast Cancer, Leukaemia Care, Lagan’s Foundation, Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Peace Foundation and The Woodland Trust.
Student Luke James, the Head of the school’s Charity Committee, said: “We are delighted to have raised so much money for such worthwhile causes. All the charities have been chosen by the boys for a wide range of reasons and many of them have supported people who are connected to Bolton School.”
