However, you perpetuate the myth that this was the end of the First World War.
In reality, fighting continued in Eastern Europe until 1920 with British troops were in action in Northern Russia until well into 1919. In the Middle East fighting persisted until 1922 with Britain coming close to renewed war with Turkey in that year.
Whilst the Western Front is what we all remember (my grandfather fought and died there) we must not forget that it was a global war.
