A CHILLING Halloween could be on the way as forecasters are predicting for temperatures to plummet — and there could even be a chance of snow.
Met Office bosses say that thermometers could nose dive at the start of this week, and drivers may face frost in the mornings and overnight.
There have also been reports suggesting that there could be flurry of snow on Halloween.
Average temperatures are predicted to fall from 12C on Tuesday to 7C on Saturday, the Met Office has said.
And the first snow fall could arrive before the end on the month, and into November.
Snow is more likely to fall in the north of the country with a potential for blizzards to develop over higher ground.
But the wintry weather may even reach southern parts of the country by the end of the month, according to forecasters.
