CHILDREN from a Bolton dance and stage academy will have the “experience of a lifetime” as they join the audience of a popular CBBC show.
Around 40 pupils from Dawson's Academy of Dance and Stage will be joining members of Markland Hill Cub Scouts, who recently took part in one of the group’s workshop, on Saturday Mash-Up!
The wacky morning entertainment show features segments including ‘gunging’, ‘stars behind bars’ and ‘push off’— where celebrities push a trolley into a pyramid of toilet rolls to see how many they can collect.
Pupils will get the chance to see celebrity contestants take part in the games.
Dawn Dawson said her pupils were excited and can’t wait for the day. “To appear on tv and be filmed live will be a memory they will never forget” she added. “What I love about this event is that it includes everyone and no one feels different.”
“I am so grateful that CBBC contacted me as this is what it’s all about; living the dream just for a couple of hours and for the children to have an experience of a lifetime.”
