THOUSANDS of people took a walk on the wild side in March 1988 – right in the centre of Bolton. Our picture shows six-year-old Graham Wood getting face to face with a stuffed badger in one of the displays being held at Bolton Museum. Staff there had organised a wildlife and conservation exhibition, and from the moment the doors opened, the museum was packed with visitors enjoying the exhibits.
