BEAUTICIAN Jessica Lee is celebrating the launch of her own skincare products.

Former Bolton College student, Jessica researched the production of skin care in a bid to address her own issues with dry skin and to help her clients.

Her MYSA range has just been launched at her own room at KW Hairdressing and Beauty Salon in Tudor Avenue.

Jessica's mother, Jill Dickson explained: "I am so proud of her and would like people to be inspired by her story.

"Jessica began her career at KW Hairdressing as a trainee hairdresser, under the guidance from her manager Katie Heald.

"She enjoyed her training and always spoke about it at home but her constant battle with eczema was causing Jessica problems at home but more importantly, at work.

"After two years she sadly realised that being a hairdresser would not be suitable for her, after flare ups of eczema and irritated skin were occurring too often from the products used in the industry."

Jessica decided to re-train as a beautician and nail technician, and then open her own shop.

Mrs Dickson added: "She worked very hard after it opened, and found it was the dream job for her. Being self employed gave her the ability to work as hard as she pleased, and the satisfaction that all the results were from her using her own initiative."

But after two years of growing her business, Jessica was still suffering with skin problems, and talking to clients, realised she was not alone.

She pursued her own MYSA Skincare Range, catering for people with all types of dry/problematic skin.

Mrs Dickson said: "She researched her own ingredients such as scent and oils and sourced them herself. Jessica soon had some samples given out to family and clients for feedback which proved to play a key part as feedback enabled her to tweak the products and new ideas which were valuable for her to make a skincare product that she now delivers. Finally she began packaging her products with her own label and design."

Jessica said: "I have to work hard because a full day for a beautician doesn’t end after the last client, the work never stops because the bottles won't label themselves."

Jessica also has her own web page where all her products are listed together with a story again how MYSA was formed. Also appointments can be made via this website for Jessica’s Beautician/Nail services she has to offer, Jessica’s website can be found at www.mysa-skincare.com.
