BOLTON band The Jade Assembly are following in the footsteps of The Beatles on Wednesday, October 31, when they perform at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool.
Singer John Foster, who lives in Bradshaw, said: “For most bands it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, so this is a real ambition come true.”
The gig is the result of the indie rockers’ work with legendary producer Steve Levine, who oversaw their recent release Big Pub in the Sky, a song about John’s mother.
Mr Levine is well-known in music circles having produced acts including The Clash and Culture Club.
Impressed with the recording, the BBC approached the band and arranged for them to play at the club and record the show for Radio Merseyside.
It could also be broadcast on national BBC radio at a later date.
Impressively, the show has already sold out, an incredible achievement, according to the band, whose other members are bassist Danny Hayes, drummer Andy Watson and guitarist Gareth Smedley.
