Grab your hat, grab your scarf and wrap up warm this bonfire night. With lots of events to choose from in Bolton, it’s sure to be a festive occasion.

Leverhulme Park, Bolton

The annual firework event returns to Leverhulme Park on Friday. The fireworks will light the skies at 8pm, complete with a dramatic musical accompaniment. The funfair opens at 6pm and there will be a variety of traditional treats on offer like toffee apples and candyfloss. A free bus will be available to and from the park for 13 to 19-year olds. Leaving from Stand G at Bolton Interchange every 15 minutes from 6pm to 7.15pm to Bury Road. Return journeys to Stand A at the Bolton Interchange will start at 9pm from Bury Road. Parking is limited so guests are encouraged to use public transport.

Farnworth Cricket Club

Everyone is welcome to Farnworth Cricket Club’s annual bonfire night on Friday. With gates opening at 6pm, it promises to be a fun night! There will be two firework displays as well as a giant bonfire to be lit. There will also be fairground rides, plenty of food on offer and the bar will be open all night. Adults cost £4 and children £2 however family deals will be available on the gate.

Waggon & Horses, Westhoughton

The Waggon and Horses in Westhoughton, Chorley Road boast a fulfilled bonfire night on Saturday at 6pm. Their huge bonfire will be lit at 6pm and then the fireworks will take off into the night sky at 7.15pm. There will also be live music, raffles and an outside bar to keep visitors entertained all evening. Food will be available outside all evening if you need warming up in the chilly weather. This event is free for all the family.

Harwood Golf Club

Bonfire night at Harwood Golf Club commences at 7pm when the bonfire is lit. There will be fireworks being shot up into the skies on the night and there will be food available to purchase. There is no need to pre-book tickets for this annual event, just turn up and pay on entry. Tickets cost £2 for adults and £1 for children. There is also a ticket for a family of four for £5.

Hare and Hounds, Chorley

The Hare and Hounds in Abbey Village, Chorley are hosting a bonfire night on Monday 5th November at 5pm. There will be food on offer and hot drinks to help you warm up in this wintery weather. At 8pm fireworks will take to the air with a bang. There’s no need to buy a ticket, simply turn up and enjoy.
