YOU can probably guess the year of this autumnal production just from the hairstyles sported by the female.
The Purdey cut-cum-Farrah flicks identifies it immediately as 1979, September 19 to be precise.
The number of people in the cast also gives a clue to the popularity of this society.
More than 30 players were available to line up for this cast picture . . . quite a coup that many an amateur society would be proud of today.
If you haven't already spotted yourself or someone you know if the picture, this was St Philip's Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society.
And this picture was taken just before the final two performances of their popular autumn revue, Variety Bandbox.
The show was staged in the Parochial Hall, in Bridgeman Street. These days the society stages its shows in its new home in Commerce House, Bridgeman Place. And its next show is Honk! by its Junior Workshop, from November 7-10.
