A RECORD 99 bags of rubbish were cleared by the Horwich First Litter Pickers.
The community litter pick on Saturday October 27 saw community members tackle the Vale Ward in Horwich.
They cleared up the streets of Richmond Street, Berne Avenue, Tomlinson Street and Queen Street.
Among the bags of rubbish, volunteers collected several bags of cans and bottles which were later recycled.
They also collected tyres, tents, a television and a paddling pool.
The next litter pick will be at the end of November.
