FARNWORTH Town Hall will be illuminated poppy red to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Work to light up the building was completed on Thursday November 1.

The coloured lights will be shining on the town hall until Remembrance Sunday.

Cllr Paul Sanders took the idea to Bolton Council who approved the decision.

The Remembrance Day parade in Farnworth will start from in front of the Home Bargains store in Market Street.

The parade will assemble for 10.15am and March off at 10.30am.
