A BOY has been charged after a man was left with serious head injuries after being attacked in Bury town centre.
Police were called to the assault, in Bolton Street, at 11.45pm on Friday, October 12.
The man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be knife injuries to his head and face.
Last Friday, a 17-year-old boy was charged with a section 18 assault, wounding with intent, and has since appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court, where he has been remanded into custody.
Police are still actively seeking witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
