A DRUG driver has been arrested after being found with cannabis and failing a roadside drug's test.

The driver of an Audi A3 was pulled over by police in Wigan Road, Bolton, at lunchtime on Thursday and was further found to have no insurance.

Police reported that the 41-year-old man said he had an "international driving license", despite living in the UK for 18 years.

A police officer questioned the man on the forecourt of the Shell garage near the junction with Beaumont Road. He inspected the boot and the interior of the the car, which was then seized.

GMP Traffic tweeted: "Just stopped this Audi S3 on Wigan Road Bolton.

"Driver found to have no insurance. Stated that he held a "international driving licence" however has lived in the UK 18 yrs.

"Found in poss cannabis and also arrested for Drug driving. Vehicle seized."
