MORE than £18,000 has been raised by the ‘10 Miles 10 Pubs’ event for Bolton Hospice this year.
Up to 850 volunteers took part in this year’s 10 Miles 10 Pubs on September 29.
Organisers Jill Reece and Donna Knowles arranged the event around pubs in Adlington, Rivington and Anglezarke. Over the past five years, the women have helped to raise £62,000 for Bolton Hospice.
They used to live in Horwich and volunteered at hospice fundraisers.
The pub event usually takes four hours to complete, but those taking part could were encouraged to take their time and pop into passing pubs for a soft drink.
