A FAMILY have been left heartbroken after their missing dog was found dead on railway tracks.
Jodie Gallagher appealed to Bolton News readers to help find Zizou, a two-year-old French bulldog who escaped from his home in Grange Road, Bromley Cross on Friday morning after a gate had been left open.
Mrs Gallagher was so desperate she even offered a cash reward in the hope the beloved pet would be reunited with the family.
But on Monday night, she got a phone call from Network Rail informing her Zizou's body had been found on the railway line near the family home.
Mrs Gallagher said: "To everyone that's sesarched for Zizou and tried to bhelp, I can't thank you enough."
