RESTAURANT staff have donated hundreds of pounds to charity.
Staff at the Armaan restaurant in the Outwood area of Radcliffe have donated more than £1,900 to the Mayor of Bury's chosen charities.
The Indian restaurant held a charity week to raise the money, during which regular customers were invited to dine for free and instead asked to make a charity donation.
A total of £1,929.60 will be shared between the Mayor of Bury, Cllr Jane Black's, mayoral charities — Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in Dumers Lane, Radcliffe, and social care charity for the Jewish community, The Fed.
Cllr Black said: "This is a huge donation for us, and it is a wonderful example of a local business that really cares about making a difference to the community. All funds raised will benefit my mayoral charities."
