A FORMER member of the Buzzcocks is to put on a show for Lancashire Day in Bolton.
Garth Smith, who played bass for the legendary punk rock group founded in Bolton in the 1970s, is performing with Young Once at the Over Hulton Conservative Club.
The band also includes Tony Wragg, Simon Bentall, Pete Hodkinson and Andy Chadwick-Hurst.
They said: “It does us good to be prodded with a sharp stick, to remember who we are and where we come from.
“When better to get a good prodding than Lancashire Day.”
The event on November 27 starts at 8pm and will also include a table quiz.
Tickets can be bought by contacting John Bullen on 01942 874719 or 07749868692 or emailing j.bullen1@ntlworld.com.
