A CAR discovered to have no insurance was taken off the street by police officers.
The silver Vauxhall Corsa was stopped while driving along Chorley Old Road just before 4pm on Tuesday.
After finding that the car was uninsured police investigated the driver and found that they did not have a valid driver's licence.
The vehicle was seized by the officers and towed away by specialist teams.
Owners of cars seized by the police have to pay a 'release fee' of up to £200 plus £20 a day in storage fees to have the vehicle returned.
To report a non-urgent criminal offence to the police use 101 or the Live Chat function on www.gmp.police.uk.
