A PENSIONER who went missing from her home in Westhoughton has been found safe and well.

Barbara Bowles, who has dementia, has been reunited with her relieved family, police reported on Saturday.

She had last been seen at around noon on Friday, near her home, in St George's Avenue, walking towards Westhoughton town centre via Rodgers Way.

Police had taken the step of issuing a photograph of her in an appeal for help from the public.
