WORLD famous Horrible Histories writer Terry Deary brought the past alive for a group of lucky school children when he was town for his new play The 11th Hour.
Pupils of Pike Lane Primary School in Deane were invited to meet the author, who used a few of them to recreate some of the horrible histories he has wrote about before attending a performance of the play.
The excited youngsters also found about how he became a writer, his schooldays and his ambitions as a child.
The 11th Hour is set in 1918 and tells the story of two soldiers, one German and one British, who meet and begin exchanging stories of their experiences during the war.
The performances at Bolton Library and Museum run until Saturday. Tickets are £5 plus booking fee and are available from www.quaytickets.com or call 0843 2080500.
