SPLURGE guns were at the ready when gangsters and their molls took to the stage to recreate Alan Parker's world famous musical Bugsy Malone.
The guys and dolls from Bolton Catholic Junior Workshop brought the hit show to Seymour Road Theatre Church, Astley Bridge, in 1987.
The audience enjoyed musical favourites in the gangster comedy film including My Name is Tallulah, Fat Sam's Grand Slam.
The musical set in New York City, it is a gangster movie spoof, substituting splurge guns and whipped cream for machine guns and bullets.
The film is loosely based on events in New York and Chicago during prohibition era, specifically the exploits of real-life gangsters such as Al Capone and Bugs Moran.
