BOLTON Arena will be transformed into a festive wonderland this weekend as it hosts Bolton's Winter Weekend.

The two-day event will feature appearances from Walt Disney film favourites, such as Elsa, Mickey and Minnie, Lightning McQueen, and R2D2.

Outside the Arena, there will be a funfair, ice rink, trampolines, and a Bolton FM roadshow. There'll also be plenty of food stalls to help keep you warm.

If the temperatures do drop there's plenty going on inside the Arena as well.

As well as 80 stalls featuring food, perfume, clothes, and other goods; there's a Santa’s grotto, a giant snow globe, bouncy castles, and soft play.

There will also be a stage with live entertainment throughout the weekend and on Sunday evening there will be a "spectacular" firework display.

A percentage of profits from the day will go towards Bolton Hospice and Boot Out Breast Cancer and both charities will also be present on the day fundraising.

Adult entry tickets are priced at £3 per day, or a weekend pass can be bought for £5. Children under 12 will get in to the the event free, if accompanied by a paying adult.

Entry tickets give admission to all the stalls, the fun fair and kids activities.

However, separate tickets will be required for the Santa's grotto, snow globe and ice rink. Rides, stalls, and events operated by third parties may cost money though.

Parking is situated at The University of Bolton Stadium on Car Park C, tickets for the event and parking are available online at: www.cree8iveevents.co.uk.
