TRADITIONAL festive fun comes to the Albert Halls.

Christmas pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs takes to the stage with an all star cast, some of whom really do have the X-Factor.

Starring in the show is the nation's favourite Michael Starke of Brookside and Benidorm fame, who will be appearing alongside X-Factor stars David Heath and Sam Callahan.

Michael, who is playing Muddles, said: "I do love panto because it was the first show I ever saw, with Norman Wisdom at the Liverpool Empire. I was about 12 and I was hooked and I just thought that is what I want to do

"We have got a lovely cast we have all worked together before and we all know each other. Panto is great fun, its a lovely day out for children and it is usually their first introduction to theatre.

"We create some magic and the kids love it, they are part of the show. The mums and dads try to remain a little bit cool but they get dragged ins well."

He is starring alongside his wife, Lynn Francis, who plays the Queen, meaning the two are together at Christmas.

Sam said: "We are only looking forward to getting the show on the road.

"I will sing on stage, and the audience can expect a lot of laughs, we have got some very witty people in the show, it will be fun for all the family."

Snow White is played by Charlotte Dacia, who starred in Cinderella last year.

She said: "This is possibly my favourite panto and it is lovely to be back. As a child I loved Snow White, I think I secretly wish I was Snow White!"

Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Linda Thomas, said: “We are delighted to welcome the return of Bolton’s traditional family pantomime to the Albert Halls. The refurbished venue is perfect to entertain the hundreds of children and their families during what promises to be a superb production.

“There are performances right through December with afternoon and evening shows to choose from so plenty of choice so people can fit it in with their Christmas preparations. However, tickets have been selling fast, so I would encourage people to book quickly so as to avoid disappointment.”

The play runs until December 30.
