FOUR people were arrested on suspicion of drink driving on Saturday night.

This has prompted officers to warn that the best policy is "None for the Road".

A man was arrested for drink driving in Horwich after a two-vehicle crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called to the incident in Mason Street shortly after 3.15am.

They arrested a man after he gave a positive roadside breath test of 105mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

The legal limit is 35mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

Police from Bolton North also arrested a driver in Astley Bridge after they were found to be more than three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Officers stopped the suspected drink driver in Crompton Way shortly before 12pm.

They tweeted: "The driver blew 132mcg of alcohol per 100ml in breath at the roadside and was arrested. The driver blew 106mcg on the evidential machine in custody — more than three times the legal limit."

Police have issued a warning after arresting four people overnight in Bolton on suspicion of drink driving.

They tweeted: "Drink and drugs are one of the top four contributing factors to deaths on our roads.

"If you know you’re going to be driving, err on the side of caution and stick to #NoneForTheRoad."
