BOLTON is the second toughest place to find a parking space in Greater Manchester, it has been revealed.

The research, conducted by GoCompare utilising data from the British Parking Association and Department for Transport, found that on a typical day there are an average of 81 vehicles to every parking space in the town. Only Stockport ranked worse with an average of 125 vehicles per space.

Bolton was also founded to be one of the top ten toughest towns in the North West to park, ranking fifth.

However the town is the third most disabled-friendly town in Greater Manchester, with 3.6 per cent of available spaces reserved for disability badge holders.
