CHRISTMAS presents worth more than £100 that a teenage girl had bought for her family were stolen in a McDonalds.
Police have now released an image of a woman who they think may have important information on the incident.
The girl, aged 14, was in McDonalds on Mersey Way, Stockport town centre at around 3.35pm on Saturday 24 November.
When leaving the restaurant, the girl forgot to take the bag containing the presents.
When she returned to the restaurant, she realised they had been stolen.
Constable Carl Johnson of GMP’s Stockport Division said: “This young girl had spent more than £100 of her money on presents for her family.
“When relaxing with friends afterwards, some opportunist thief has seen fit to steal the gifts that she had thoughtfully selected.
“We’re appealing for anyone who knows the person pictured, or has any information on this crime, to contact police immediately.”
Information can be left with police on 0161 856 5902 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
