A Bolton school is closed today, following a power cut.
Westhoughton High was unable to open this morning as a result of a localised power failure.
The school explained the buildings would remain shut due to health and safety reasons.
Headteacher Philip Hart said: "I've been in contact with Electricity North West . There's two blown fuses in the electricity box.
"I've got to make a call for the health and safety of our students and parents."
There has been a localised power failure and we are unable to open the school today due to Health and Safety reasons. Those meeting for Carol Service rehearsal should still attend school and report to main reception. We will update you later today. School will be open tomorrow.

Mr Hart added the school's emergency procedures had 'worked well' to inform parents of the closure.
He said: "We're supporting children who aren't able to get home themselves. The school minibuses have been dropping off children this morning.
"It's always unfortunate when we have to close school but we have to put health and safety first."
Those attending the carol service rehearsals are being told to attend school and report to the main reception.
The school added it will be open tomorrow and more details will be given throughout the day.
