FIREFIGHTERS helped free a schoolboy's finger after it became trapped in a fire door.
A crew from Whitefield Fire Station were called to Wesley Methodist Primary School, in Forth Road, Radcliffe, shortly after midday.
They used equipment to create enough room for the five-year-old to free his finger.
He is not thought to have been left with any injuries.
Crew manager James Cheverton said: "We used a pry bar on the door to create a bit of space to let him get his finger out.
"Apart from the upset, he was unharmed.
"We were at the scene for about 15 minutes."
