CLLR Linda Thomas, Leader of Bolton Council and Leader of Bolton Labour, said on BBC 1 Sunday Politics Show (December 2) she wishes the national government would get more of the blame when it comes to spending decisions in this borough.

Cllr Thomas needs to understand the issue is how she and her party spend what money it has in this borough.

How she spends that is her and her party's decision, it's her and her party's decision to spend the Manchester Airport dividend servicing a £100 million loan for Bolton's town centre for 50 years, as part of a £1 billion masterplan, while the other seven (Horwich, Blackrod, Farnworth, Kearsley, Little Lever, South Turton, Westhoughton) out of eight towns in the borough miss out.

It's her and her party who decided to spend 47 per cent of NMAW budget in four Labour wards, while the other 16 wards miss out.

It's her and her party that refuse to come out and say they were wrong on Asons.

These are decisions decided in Bolton Town Hall by the local Labour Party, not the Westminster Government.

It's time her and her party made fairer decisions locally!
