I wholeheartedly agree with Ron Shambley letters (December 6).

We will be a laughingstock if just roll over and rejoin the EU thanks to the incompetent MPs who have lost out to unelected bureaucrats who represent a corrupt, undemocratic Mafia-type EU who seek to control nations through fear.

The Irish should know this — they were forced to vote, vote and vote again until the EU got the result it wanted.

The Labour Party front bench has been shuttling back and forward to collaborate with the unelected bureaucrats and stab tens of thousands of its own voters in the back — they shame the Labour movement.

And many Tories are no better.

As for the Irish, their strings are being pulled by the same corrupt EU bureaucrats who could not give two hoots about the Good Friday Agreement.

Only the EU and their Irish puppets seem to want a hard border.

In my opinion, we should walk away, invest the £39 billion in the UK instead of the new factories in Eastern Europe owned by German and French companies at the expense of UK jobs.

If the EU wants to trade with us, fair enough, but if it wants a trade war, give it one.

The British people voted to leave by a majority vote to leave.

Why can’t MPs unite and respect the electorate?

We must not surrender to the Mafia that is the EU.
