PEACE campaigners will hear a talk entitled Why councils should support the United Nations Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty on Thursday night.
Sean Morris will address the Bolton CND/Stop the War group before their annual meeting, at 7.30pm at the Quaker Meeting House, Silverwell Street, Bolton. All are welcome.
Mr Morris is responsible for the peace policies of Manchester City Council and is national secretary of both Nuclear Free Local Authorities and Mayors for Peace (comprising 7688 cities in 163 countries). Manchester Council have long supported both these initiatives and very recently have publicly supported the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty.
The talk will be followed by discussions on launching a campaign to encourage Bolton Council to support these initiatives and then by the Bolton CND/Stop the War group AGM.
