A STATUE was stolen from a grave and smashed up by vandals.
Police are asking for any information after the statue was taken from the grave in Durham Road cemetery in Stockton and destroyed.
It bears the inscription: "Dad, always in our hearts. Love Susan and Paul".
It was taken between 12pm on Tuesday, December 4 and 12pm on Wednesday, December 5.
It was found smashed up nearby.
Inquiries into this damage are ongoing.
