A cancer service, which has helped more than 7,000 people,won a national award.
Bolton's Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service won at the Macmillan Excellence Awards, hosted by Victoria Derbyshire.
Sue Summerfield, manager said: "The core success of the project comes down to the fact all the partners have a shared vision. They are committed for different reasons, but all want the same results: an improved experience for people living with cancer with more positive outcomes as a result."
Earlier this year The Bolton News spoke to Ian Jackson who set up the service after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2003.
