A number of roadworks and closures are in effect across Bolton, which could affect your journey.

They are for a number of reasons from road improvements to gas works.

Here's a full list of the traffic management measures in the next two weeks, as announced by Bolton Council, including the reasons behind the disruption:

Coronation Street (Newport Arcade to Victoria Square)

Lane closure in effect until August 2019, due to the Octagon Theatre reconstruction.

Gilnow Road

Temporary traffic lights in effect until Friday January 4, due to gas works.

Howell Croft South (outside Octagon Theatre)

One way system in effect until August 2019, due to the Octagon Theatre reconstruction.

Tudor Avenue

Temporary traffic lights in effect until Friday December 14, due to gas works.

Blackrod

Manchester Road (outside Blackrod Primary School)

Temporary traffic lights (in off-peak hours) in effect until Friday December 14, due to gas works.

Breightmet

Bury Road (at Henighans)

Stop/Go boards will come into effect on Tuesday December 18, remaining there when needed until Friday December 21, due to electricity works.

Halliwell

Church Road (and Ivy Road up to number 223)

Temporary traffic lights will come into effect on Thursday December 13, remaining there until Monday January 21, due to gas works

Heaton

Greenmount Lane

Temporary traffic lights in effect until Friday December 14, due to gas works.

Tonge

Crompton Way (Tonge Moor Road)

Off-peak lane closures will be in effect on Thursday December 20, due to recut traffic light loops.

Westhoughton

Collingwood Way

Temporary traffic lights in effect until Friday December 14, due to utilities for new development.

Hindley Road

Temporary traffic lights (in off-peak hours) until Friday December 14, due to electricity works.

Lostock Road

Temporary traffic lights in effect until Friday December 14, due to surfacing work around gullies.
