TALENTED young people took to the stage to perform in spectacular show of music, dance and drama in the annual Christmas Fundraiser Concert.

The annual event, a highlight of the school's calendar, was held in aid of the Survivors Manchester charity.

Samantha Flanagan, from the school in Horwich, said: "The performances were outstanding and CEO of the charity Duncan Craig tweeted how proud he was of the pupils of St Josephs for raising awareness and educating young people about the Manchester Survivors charity.

"The evening included soloists, duets and ensemble pieces across all year groups.

"The pupils showed dedication, enthusiasm and resilience throughout the night. The school hall came alive, the stage was full of talented musicians and performers."

Pupils from all years starred in the production.

Various pieces of popular music and Christmas classics, from Jeff Buckley's 'Hallelujah' to 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", were performed.

The St Josephs Musical Theatre Choir performed 'How far I'll go' from Moana and 'When I grow up' from Matilda.

St Joseph's dance group took to the floor for "Let it Go" and "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" from Frozen.

Drama performances includes extracts from "A Christmas Carol", "A Christmas Murder" and "Krampus"

Mrs Flanagan said: "Parents commented on the schools Facebook site stating 'the evening was fabulous', 'it was a pleasure to watch and be a part of', 'great charity and great performances'."
