The Longfield Centre in Prestwich
A MAN has been charged after two PCSOs were assaulted in Prestwich.
The officers were targeted while on patrol at the Longfield Centre on Monday afternoon.
The PCSOs were not left with serious injuries, and a man was arrested at the scene.
Neil Baxendale, aged 48, of Woodward Road, Prestwich, has now been charged with two assaults on emergency service workers and criminal damage to police equipment.
He has been bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on January 24.
