THE Christmas period means changes to Universal Credit and other benefit payments.
Here are the normal payment dates for Universal Credit with the Christmas payment date:
- 25th or 26th - December 24
- 29th or 30th - December 28
- 1st - December 31
For January 2nd, 27th, 28th and 31st payment dates remain the same.
For tax credits:
- 25th to 27th - December 24
- 28th - December 27
For January 1-2 payment will be December 31 and for January 3 it will be December 31.
Child benefit for December 25 and January 1 will be paid December 24.
Employment support allowance for December 25 and January 1 will be paid on December 21 and 31 respectively.
